Kane Detention Participates in Rockville, Maryland Judicial Annex Expansion
(Photo/Rendering Credit: AECOM) KANE, Pennsylvania — January 6, 2012 — Kane Detention has signed on to provide a variety of security and detention products for Rockville, Maryland’s new Montgomery County Judicial Center Annex. Slated for completion in 2014, the annex will include a 191,000-gross square foot new courts annex and renovation of the existing 327,000-gross square foot courthouse. The judicial annex will be home to Kane Detention’s Steel Vantage Wall Sliding Doors, Fixed Steel Vantage Walls, Steel Vantage Wall Elevator Doors, elevator barriers, modesty panels, benches, stools and more. The Montgomery County Judicial Center Annex is designed by AECOM Architects with three separate circulation systems for the public, judiciary and prisoners. The structure is also expected to achieve a minimum of LEED Gold certification through various sustainable features.
