Security Window Screens - 08 56 56

Our security screens provide protection for hundreds of medical facilities, universities, colleges, public schools and public housing developments. Kane Screens has been producing security screens for more than 50 years, with more than 20 models that meet or exceed all security levels.

A security screen looks similar to an insect screen but is much, much stronger. The security screen installs in the window reveal of an existing window and is designed similar to a "pre-hung" door. The door portion has a heavy steel or aluminum frame that holds stainless steel wire cloth or a steel perforated panel and hinges to a subframe. Just like a door is hinged to the buck. The subframe is screwed into the window reveal and has fitting pieces to make the subframe appear to be part of the original window opening.

Level 3: VANDALISM SCREENS

Vandal Shield

Vandalism Screens are resistant to thrown rocks, bottles, etc. Intruder cannot break in without a tool and determined effort.

Issues: Glass breakage/vandalism, insect screen, maintenance, accidental falls (child guard).
Features: Strong, durable, aluminum frame; fixed or operable with emergency egress. Security Level 4 impact rating.

Level 4: MEDIUM VANDALISM SCREENS

Medium Vandalism Screens are resistant to thrown rocks, bottles, etc. Intruder cannot break in without a tool and determined effort.

Issues: Glass breakage/vandalism, insect screen, maintenance, accidental falls (child guard).
Features: Strong, durable, aluminum frame; fixed or operable with emergency egress.

Level 5: HEAVY VANDALISM SCREENS

Heavy Vandalism Screens resist forced entry and heavy, thrown rocks. Screens can only be levered open by intruder with a heavy pry bar.

Issues: Access control (passing of weapons or illegal drugs), burglary and break-ins, assault and glass breakage.
Features: High strength main frame & sub-frame, narrow sightline, heavy duty locks, bolts & hinges, single-point emergency release.

Level 6: MEDIUM SECURITY SCREENS

Escape deterrent. Forced entry and vandalism.

Issues: Tough inner-city environments, persistent forced entry, secluded windows, detention issues with juvenile homes, psychiatric wards and detox centers
Features: 12-gauge steel main frame & sub-frame, continuously welded corners, concealed detention hardware featuring 107 Bitt Key lock, bolts and anti-compression hinges, single-point emergency release

Level 7: MAXIMUM SECURITY SCREENS

Escape deterrent. Forced entry and vandalism. Resists repeated forced blows and body thrown at screen at full force.

Issues: Tough inner-city environments, persistent forced entry, secluded windows, detention issues with juvenile homes, psychiatric wards and detox centers
Features: 12-gauge steel main frame & sub-frame, continuously welded corners, coil spring suspension for wire cloth, concealed detention hardware featuring 107 Bitt Key lock, bolts and anti-compression hinges, single-point emergency release

Security Screen Doors

Security screen doors look just like your standard screen doors but offer the protection against forced entry and vandalism.

Issues: Tenant abuse, insect protection, protect against determined vandalism, deter attempted break-ins, eliminate insect screen replacement, peace of mind security for your tenants
Features: High strength tubular design, welded frame corners, heavy-duty lockable latch and closer, 12 mesh stainless steel wire cloth, durable powder coat finish.
